Genesis 21:1
"The Lord has done good to Sarah, just as he said. He has done for her what he promised."
As I read this passage, I remembered all the promises the Lord made to me that I sabotaged, either because I wanted to do what I thought was best for me, or because the wait was too long.
The question we must ask ourselves is this: what if we waited patiently for our promise to be fulfilled, would we still have so many burdens to drag around with us? Because the burdens we drag around are the consequences of our own choices, choices made without God's approval or choices that do not belong to God's vision of our path on this earth. We thus invite through our own decisions: Fear, conflict, lies make Him anxious, etc. All these burdens that prevent us from living in the peace of God.
Jeremiah 29:11
"Yes, I, the LORD, know the plans I have for you. I declare that they are not plans for evil, but plans for good. I want to give you a future full of hope."
Let us remain confident that all the promises of the Lord will be fulfilled, "The Lord said to me: You have seen well. Indeed, I am careful to perform what I have said." Jeremiah 1:12.
May God bless you, may patience and faith be your portion.
In the name of Jesus Christ
Amen
